Biking
Either bring your own bike or hire a mountain bike in the village, and enjoy a
ride along sealed country roads or mountain tracks.
Go mountain biking along quiet Kangaroo Valley country lanes or tackle
the challenge of Australian National Park trails.

Wineries and cellar door
Yarrawa winery grows Chambourcin grapes, walnuts and lemons to produce award
winning wines and liqueurs on a hillside with beautiful views over the valley.
A range of wines from other local wineries is available. Enjoy an afternoon
tasting and talking about food and wine.

Bush Walking
Kangaroo Valley has a long agricultural history and walkers can follow the
bush trails of the timber cutters' drays and the butter trails up and over the
escarpments to the rail at Berry or Robertson. The National Parks trails
are all well marked with grades and walking times. Carbon neutral Kangaroo
Valley loves walkers. There are trails for all grades .. Maps are available at
the INFORMATION CENTRE AT THE FUDGE SHOP.

Fishing
There are great places to fish in Kangaroo Valley at Tallowa Dam,
Bendeela Picnic Ground and Kangaroo River. A fresh water fishing license is
required and is available from Kangaroo Valley Rural Supplies and Canoe and
Kayak Safaris. Fishing gear, bait ad hampers can be hired or purchased from
Rural Supplies

Golfing
Kangaroo Valley Golf Club has an 18 hole course designed by Jack Newton. It
is surrounded by the beautiful escarpment and rainforest.

Historical Places
Pioneer Museum Park is on the river beside the historic Hampden Bridge.
Visitors can see buildings, machinery and household and personal articles from
the days when the valley was first settled.

Swimming
There are safe swimming places at Hampden Bridge and at Bendeela Campground
and the Community Swimming Poll in the village is open during the summer months.

Bird Watching
Bird watching is a joy in Kangaroo Valley whether from the windows of your
accommodation or secreted in a hide, you will have many species to watch. Lyre
birds cross your path on early morning walks, and King Parrots, Rosellas
and Black and Sulphur Crested Cockatoos are always present and blue
drinking straws and blue pegs let you know just where the Bower birds are.
